✨ Blozzum is on the App Store — eyeballs, meet earballs. →
Feed it sound. Watch it Blozzum.

Be feels. Be blozzum.

Blozzum turns audio into moving, generative art. Give it your music, tap a tempo — or just yell at it — and watch shapes bloom, warp, and pulse in response. Built for iPad, made for tinkering, and ready for the big screen at your next show.

Features

Sound is the brush

Feed Blozzum a live microphone or your own audio files. Everything on screen reacts in real time, rendered on the GPU with Metal.

Four ways to move

Bind any parameter to Tempo, Signal, Trigger, or Peak. Lock shapes to the beat, let them ride the sound, or fire them off by hand.

Play it with MIDI

Plug in a MIDI controller and perform Blozzum with your hands. Map knobs, pads, and keys to parameters and trigger visuals live.

A garden of shapes

Start from 21 generative base forms — Daisy, Splotch, Lissajous, Superformula, Waves and more — each a parametric path you can bend to your will. The most capable iPads add two extra, sampling-heavy shapes (Spirograph and Maurer Rose) for 23 in all.

Mutate to taste

Warp reality with mutations like Orbit, Flutter, Squish, Zoomies, Scatter, and FlowWarp. Stack two slots and layer them up.

Stack, blend, finish

Pile on an FX chain, mix with blend modes, then sweeten the whole thing with a final render pass and color grading.

Export in up to 4K

Bounce your creation to a crisp H.264 or HEVC video — with audio — straight to your photo library. Three seconds to ten minutes.

Made for the big screen

Plug into any external display, TV, or projector and it instantly becomes your stage — pure generative imagery, no controls or overlays. You keep the knobs on your iPad; the audience sees only the art.

Blozzum & Blozzum Bitty

Blozzum comes in two flavors. Blozzum is the full studio for iPad. Blozzum Bitty is the pocket edition for iPhone and iPad — the same sound-reactive magic, streamlined. Here’s how they stack up.

Getting Started

01

Pick a shape

Start from a base form like the Daisy, or load a factory preset and riff on it.

02

Feed it sound

Switch on the mic or load an audio file, then tap out the tempo so everything locks to the beat.

03

Bind it to the beat

Wire up parameters to Tempo, Signal, Trigger, or Peak and watch the shape come alive.

04

Mutate & layer

Add mutations, an FX chain, blend modes, and a final render pass until it looks just right.

05

Save & export

Snapshot your favorites, then export a video — up to 4K, with audio — to your photo library.

A note on performance & battery

Blozzum renders everything in real time on the GPU — that’s what makes it look so alive, but it also works your device hard. On some devices it can run warm and use battery quickly, so it’s worth keeping an eye on your battery and plugging in when you can, especially during longer sessions or live shows.

If Blozzum feels like a lot for your device, Blozzum Bitty is tuned to run lighter and cooler while keeping the same sound-reactive heart.

About Blozzum

Blozzum began with a simple question: what if sound could grow? It’s a playground for generative art that moves to music — part instrument, part toy, part visualizer. Whether you’re a generative-art tinkerer, a curious creative, or a VJ lighting up a room, Blozzum rewards play. As above, so Blozzum.

Developed by Muddlegeist Inc., a small studio with a soft spot for the strange and the beautiful. Blozzum joins klippklön and friends in the Muddlegeist lineup.
